- For B.Tech at VU: 10+2 in Science (Physics + Maths plus one of: Chemistry/CS/Electronics/IT/Biology/Technical vocational etc) with minimum ~45% marks (40% for reserved category) in those subjects.

- Ensure you meet any entrance test or board exam requirements (if applicable) for the programme.
- Apply (Online or Offline)
- Online method: Visit VU’s website → “Apply for Admission” / “Secure Provisional Admission”.
- Offline method: Visit the Admissions Office on campus (Building No. 5, Ground Floor, Survey No. 2,3,4, Laxmi Nagar, Kondhwa (Bk), Pune-411048).
- You’ll need to fill basic details, choose programme, upload documents.
- Pay initial fees / application & provisional payment
- According to VU: Step 1: Basic application form fill + pay ₹1,500 (non-refundable) for many years.
- Step 2: Fill detailed provisional admission form + pay first instalment (document shows Rs 25,000) to secure seat.
- On the “Secure Provisional Admission” page it says: Fill Basic Info + pay ₹1,500 non-refundable → then detail form + pay first instalment.
- Submit required documents
- Documents like 10th & 12th mark sheets, passing certificates, birth certificate/ domicile, identity (Aadhar/Passport) etc.
- For reserved category: Caste certificate, non-creamy layer certificate if applicable.
- Seat confirmation & subsequent instalments
- After the provisional payment and document verification, your seat is confirmed.
- Further instalments of fee may be required (e.g., Installment II and III by deadlines).
- If admission is cancelled, refund rules apply. Example: If cancelled before a certain date, a small deduction; after a certain date, no refund.
- Finalize admission and begin studies
- After all formalities, join classes, attend orientation, etc.
- Ensure library/hostel/transport registration as applicable.
